Little Peanut!
3/20/15 - Happy 55th Bday Earl. :) We met our little peanut today! Saw the little fluttering heartbeat. Measuring 7 weeks and one day. 143 beats per minute. I know it looks like a little blobby blur but it is our child!!! :)

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

So this day I forgot to wear green but thankfully my work badge is green so I was saved from pinching. It is one of the only times I am not frowned upon for not being a "red" badger....the other time I don't mind not having a red badge is when their annual security training comes up and I have to schedule it but don't have to go! :)

Selfies
You know, I know they are dorky but I need a selfie stick!
I can never take proper selfies because my T-rex sized arms can't reach to get a decent angle.
Either half my head is cut off or my face is so giant I look 500 lbs more than I am - and we all know THAT isn't our goal...my theory is that is where the duck lip pose came from. When you pucker, your cheeks are drawn in and make you look thinner with gorgeous pouty-ish lips...and oh man if your eyes pop too - yea baby you have taken a post worthy selfie.
I usually hand the camera to my hubby to take a selfie of us because he has longer arms and gets a much better angle or I still simply resort to asking someone else to take a real photo.
But I might research this stick - it may change everything; even open whole new worlds to me!!!

The picture that sparked it all
This picture was on the fridge the first time I went to Earl's house. The older, faded one.
He is holding Charlie, one of his good friend's kiddos.
Earl was teaching me how to make a pie and as we were waiting for it to bake, I saw this picture and felt this spark in my heart. A thought crossed my mind that I could have a baby with this man....yea, it totally freaked me out, as at that point we were not even dating and I had no interest in this man; at least that was what my mind had decided. My heart had other plans and they freaked me out! ;)
Fast forward - When we were married one day Earl gave me this picture, the newer copy and he shaved his mustache and wore a blue shirt just like he looked in the picture. My heart flipped again.

Wow, how blessed and spoiled I am. I got a spa date and a shopping trip and just time to relax and read as my man and his two best friends braved the elements to play golf on a beautiful ocean view course.
Gale is my new hero - she braved the rain and wind and sleet and hail without complaint and carted her own clubs around and kept up with the guys!
